One of the primary foci of ACES’ Vision Statement is the commitment to advancing pedagogy related to the education and training of counselors, supervisors, and counselor educators. In the spirit of enhancing counselor education pedagogy, ACES is excited to debut a Best Practices in Teaching Task Force. The charge of the Task Force is to develop a relevant and valuable set of best practice guidelines for counselor educators which encompasses both master’s and doctoral level training and is applicable in all settings. The guidelines will be developed in the context of research, expert consensus in the professional literature, and professional opinion of Task Force members.
