ACES AWARDS and RESEARCH GRANTS
Due to member requests, ACES Awards (both regular Awards and Research
Grants) will now be given out in the Fall, either at the ACES National
Conference or at the Regional ACES meetings, rather that at the ACES
Luncheon at ACA. Thus in the 2009-2010 academic year, Awards and
Research Grants will be given out by the award committee chairs (or
their representative) during the luncheon at the ACES Conference in
San Diego. In the 2010-2011 academic year, the Awards and Research
Grants will be given out by the ACES President/President elect during
their visits to the regional conferences.
However this year (2008-2009), as we do not want folks to miss the
opportunity to earn Awards or receive a Research Grant, we will be
giving the awards as usual during the the ACES Luncheon at the ACA
Convention in Charlotte, NC.
What this means is that this year, there will be the usual call for
awards with due dates of January 1, 2009 (in time for awarding at ACA
in March) and also a later call for programs (perhaps May 1, 2009) so
that the new cycle of awards can begin at the ACES Conference in San
Diego.
